Seren was a member of the eastern desert tribes, before a poor decision left him outcast in a land and with a people he's eternally baffled by. He's never gotten over the initial shock at how wasteful the western steppes people are with water, with food, with just about everything. He's experienced with the scimitar of his people, though he's no master. His mastery is with horses. The breeding, training, racing, nearly everything to do with them.
